Our Favorites

One great thing about our Rick Steves tour was the variety. Even though we have been married 25 years, we have a lot of different interests, and our tour appealed to both of us. Neal, being an engineer and World War 2 buff, loved seeing the medieval castle being built and touring the D-day sights. Robin loves Impressionist art and reading historical fiction, so France was the perfect place to bring both interests to life. We experienced many unique and unforgettable places, and on this page we've put some of our favorites.  Each pair of photos will slide if you move the cursor, or click to see a bigger view and more description.

We both loved our guide, Marie, who got this fruit tart for us on our anniversary!

Our travel group was made up of interesting and friendly people from all over the US.  We couldn't have asked for better people to experience France with!

Thanks Rick Steves!
